The Foundation is pleased to once again be partnering with Irvington to deliver mentoring and advocacy services to youth. The new Youth Safe Haven will operate out of Parkway Recreation Center adjacent to Berkeley Terrace Elementary School. In addition to an experienced director, all other civilian staff will be certified teachers and the police will be providing an officer that is experienced with youth, problem oriented community policing and the Youth Safe Haven model.

Irvington Kick Butts Day

Jihadah Sharif , a volunteer mentor for the Irvington Youth Safe Haven program, helped the program youth develop material for Kick Butts Day, to help keep young people from smoking. Click here to read the Star Ledger story.
